My Story

I didn’t choose this life. And if you’re here, you probably didn’t either.

When my husband, Scott, died, my world split into a “before” and an “after.” The grief was overwhelming, but the loneliness surprised me just as much. It wasn’t only missing him. It was realizing how quiet life could get. How many moments felt harder when there wasn’t someone beside you to share them with. How often you could be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.

In the beginning, I didn’t feel brave. I didn’t feel strong. I was just trying to make it through the day… and then the next one.

Over time, something shifted — not because the loss got smaller, but because I began collecting small moments of light again. A good conversation. A deep breath that didn’t feel like a fight. A laugh that surprised me. A day where I realized, I’m not drowning right now.

And slowly, I learned this: healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning how to carry love and loss at the same time while still building  a life that feels meaningful.

That’s why I created RESTORED Widow.

This is a supportive, honest space for widows who are tired of doing this alone. A place where you don’t have to pretend you’re fine. Where you can show up exactly as you are — raw, steady, hopeful, exhausted, confused, grateful, angry… all of it. You belong here.

If you’re in the early days, I want you to know: you’re not crazy, and you’re not failing. You’re grieving.

If you’re a few years out and still feel stuck, I want you to know: you’re not behind. You’re rebuilding.

And if you’re ready for your next step (even a small one), I’d be honored to walk with you.

Welcome. I’m really glad you found your way here. If you’re wondering what support can look like here, here’s what you can expect.

Support That Meets You Where You Are

  • No pressure to “be strong.” This is a soft place to land — you can show up exactly as you are.

If Any of This Feels Familiar…

You might be here because:

  • The evenings feel like the hardest part of the day

  • You’re tired of being “the strong one”

  • You want connection, but not in rooms where you have to explain yourself

  • You’re functioning… but you don’t feel like you yet

  • You want to move forward, but you’re not sure what “forward” looks like now

Here’s what I want you to know: you’re not behind, and you’re not doing grief wrong. You’re rebuilding after a life-changing loss. And you don’t have to do it alone.

I’m really glad you’re here.
